I've spent over five months total over the last four years at Amy's. Best beds, best food, best water pressure, biggest rooms, cleanest pool of any place in the area anywhere near Krui.

Amy, the owner and manager is one in a million. She's put her heart, mind and soul into Amy's Place and she will make sure your stay is truly memorable, catering to everyones needs! The location is perfect, close to Leftovers and the Peak, with Kru... i left and its surrounding breaks 5 mins. Mandiri beach is 15 mins and the Point is 25 mins. Plenty more insane surf breaks are north, 45 min car trip away. Not to mention Banana Island a 45 min boat trip, this was my favourite! And a must if you're staying here, Amy will arrange everything for the day trip, including lunch and transfers. I loved the space at Amy's. Many gardens, plenty of grass, huge coconut trees for shade, quality hammocks, lazing around so you really take in the fresh air, the views, the ambience of the place. The food was fantastic, my partner and I have strict dietary requirements from stomach issues caused from parasites and the staff were more than willing to offer plenty of dairy and gluten free options, including rice flour tortillas for Mexican night, this was a real treat, thank you! The scooters for rent are perfect, brand new, safe, easy to use, living in Bali I see too many unsafe scooters available for guests to rent. The choices at Amy's are far better quality and the rate is cheap! We had a wonderful time at Amy's, a group of 6 surfers travelling from Australia and Bali, so many good waves to be had, met new, like minded people, exploring South Sumatra was beautiful, thank you for the good times Amy, we'll be back!Read more

I had the best stay at Amy's place! The location is great, with surf spots that are a short scooter ride. Super peaceful and mellow to chill out in her hammocks after a good surf. The staff is the friendliest people and they are super helpful. Plus t... he cook makes amazing food! The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and spacious with comfortable beds. One day when the surf wasn't the best, the staff made a slip n slide in the garden and we rode Amy's pool floaties down the slip n slide for hours! We met some great people here and will defiantly be coming back in the future! Ps. You have to try her home made peanut butter on the banana pancakes. It will change your life! I can't recommend Amy's more highly. Incredible location, great surf, clean rooms, and great food. So many surf options in the area, and a really helpful staff. If you find yourself near Krui, definitely look into a stay at Amy's.

I have loved every moment here in Sumatra at Amy's Place! Amy welcomed us in with open arms and looked after us to a tee! The food is delicious, the staff are all so lovely and do an amazing job! The rooms are super comfy and kept clean! It was super... fun to ride the scooters to the diverse waves we got to surf!! Especially loved the beach breaks! I'll defiantly be coming back here again! What an amazing experience!!! Amy's place ticks every box for a legendary surf trip!! I came to Amy's place with not much of an idea what I was in for and a little sceptical about how clean the place was in the pictures online.. turns out this place is legit! It's by far the most impressive place I've stayed in indo. The food has been... amazing (Amy and her staff will tweak it if needed), the grounds are truly paradise, the rooms are clean/ just what I needed after big days in the water and the surf pumps!!!! Reefs and beaches directly out front. We had a really good crowd of people staying here with nothing but good vibes! I even managed to put a large fin cut in my butt on the last day and Amy accompanied me to the hospital to translate and make sure everything went smoothly.. 9 stitches and some hilarious footage later, I am stoked :) Thanks for the epic adventure Amy and crew!
